Gastronomy, Göbeklitepe and the stone cities of Mesopotamia, over eight days. Flights optional.
Toppled stone heads above two thousand metres: light on the royal tomb of Commagene.

On the summit of Mount Nemrut stand the two-thousand-year-old tumulus of Antiochus I of Commagene and the colossal statues ranged around it; the heads separated from their bodies over the centuries and settled on the ground without losing their order. The site has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1987. The eastern terrace takes the light at sunrise, the western at sunset; we decide together which one you take. Along the way the route passes the Roman-era Cendere bridge, the Karakuş tumulus and Arsameia, the summer capital of Commagene, with the Atatürk dam and the Euphrates in view. The last stretch to the summit is on foot and the mornings are cold; warm clothing is advised. Road conditions and summit access can close in winter, and we confirm for your date in advance.
Stops flex with the weather, traffic and your guest's pace.
